It's not depend on the control panel !! it's depend on the server it self. most (all) linux servers that work with appache and mySQL (LAMP) will support drupal and phpLD

Most of the time, free hosts place ads on the sites they host for free. iHostDev.com - web host automation and billing solutions has some software for this.

^^ Yeah ipanel and xpanel are 2 best options for free host solutions, But he is not placing any Ads, as per the opening post.

Only benifit is some of users will become your paid clients, once they need high resources.
Placing google ads is risking the account, because you dont know what anybody will be placing with ads. You cant personally check every webpage on server, every day.

CPM ads and popups are always an option, but personally coming from the hosting industry, he won't survive unless he makes money from free accounts.
