Blog Directories are worth it?

I have been submitting my blog to various directories from last 3 days, But I am still unsure will I get any traffic out of this, I have neber received any external linked traffic from other web directories, But yes page rank increases are always because of directory listings.

I am willing to know if you people receive any traffic out of blog directories or its just link building? If just links then general directories are fine actually...

Submitting to directories not always increases direct traffic from directories. But it will increase the PR and you will get traffic from Search Engines.

^^ Yeah, If link building and PR is the only benifit, Then i hope i should not go for only blog directories, and just submit to all general directories.


But hey hey, I heard somewhere that there are some blog directories which make your blog popular apparantly, which are they?

Yep. You can submit your blog to general directories, if the directory owners allowed to add your blog. Some directories doesn't allow to add blogs.

Not sure about the blog directories whether it will make your blog popular.

I don't think I have ever got traffic from directories. Not even big ones, or very high PR ones.

Directory Submission leads to more sites linking to your website which means google spider see that its more important so you can get a good pr..traffic has very less to do with Directories

Yes, it's nice way for getting traffic and index .
I just started my blog and installed it through all SEO nad Blog directorys - result is that in the 3 days I had ~900 unique visitors ..
I think .. try it ..

I have used blog directories to increase my PR, and there are a few where I have seen some pretty good traffic come in from them. They are not a waste of time by any means!
