Link Farming

Well I have been doing it a lot, I place a lot of links again and again on a webpage which got high PR.

But it hurt PR of all the websites I places on the Link Farm, All of them went downwards Yes I am silly but still doing it.

What are your experiences with link farming? I have been placing 2k+ links on some webpages with high PR.

Hmm, 2k seems like an obv link farm :P Try 10-50 which is believable for a normal site lol.

I did it a couple of years ago. It worked really good at first but then I got banned. I would never do it to a site you wan to use long term. I would make two sites and use the link farm on the one and keep one for long term use.

There was a discussion over at another webmaster board who let his board go to pot - he allows spammers to hit it and he said his rankings slowly went down on that one

Link farming doesn't work for long as in most of the cases we get banned. It would be better to place 15-20 links. My friends do it and they hardly get banned.

I agree with you. its useless as in most of the cases you get banned. So its better to do it with small numbers and draw maximum benefit from them.

Link farming on large scale is of no use and there is the risk of getting banned, but if you do it on small quantities then it could be better way of making money. My friends are doing it on small scale and they are doing well.

Link farming is safe at small scale and it gives good outputs also in that small amount but when we go for it on large scale then there is the risk of getting banned. I use to do in on small scale.
