I'm very noob to this proxy biz, so I was signing up and I was wondering 1. Do we need a MYSQL database for a proxy site? 2. What does the term "parked domain" mean? Thanks for your help!

You only need MYSQL if you are installing adlogger. Please read Parked Domains for parked domain info.

I was wondering, the monthly hosting seems so cheap. I was under the impression that I had to spend 100+ for dedicated hosting. Is there something I am missing here?

This is limited to 1 domain for $10 a month. You can buy extra domains at $10 per month extra.

Couldn't I just buy domains for cheaper and have them redirect to the alloy hosting domain?

10$ for each domain seems kind of steep considering I have read how proxy sites may get banned which would force you to get a new addy.

They get banned after every other month or something. You'd make more revenue than you'd loose.

$1 a domain, isn't hard to make iti back.

Thanks for bearing with me.

I dont seem to understand parking fully. The sign up says that it costs basically 10$/1domain parking. If I have like proxy.com and I buy domain parking, I can make proxy2.com goto proxy.com, correct?

Oh wait, I think I get what you mean, I THINK.

If I buy say 5 domain parking slots and register cheap .info domains, I can park those extra .info domains ontop of my main domain, correct? Since info domains are cheap (1$) I will make back my money.

Also, do you have any recommendations as whether to get PHP or CGI?

Personal choice in PHP or CGI. PHP is generally faster.
