Ok all you programmers, I want to know which compilers you are using and why? I am looking for something easy for a student to use and would like to have some ideas thrown my way.

I don't need a compiler for any of the languages I use currently.

Websites use scripting languages and not complied langugaes.

But i guess the best compilers for popular languages like java and c are JDK by sun and borland C

I have got a poor knowledge in compilers. I use Turbo C compilers. I have heard of Borland compilers and i want to know the difference between the two compilers. Please explain me if you can. thank you.
