How to stop froth

We all hate it when you pour a pint, and lose half the beer. Last week I lost 4 pints worth of my favorite drink

So I'm asking How Do I Stop Froth?

I've tried tilting my glass to stop froth, leaving my cans still and tapping the top. No luck

Your ideas are appreciated.

I'm a lager drinker and I always tilt the glass and slowly pour the liquid down the side, gradually returning the glass to vertical as I do so. After years of considerable research I've found that a tilt angle of 35 degrees and flow rate of 5 ml per second works best.

Unfortunately my research doesn't extend as far as bitter.

I'll have to give that a go on friday.

I normally don't drink larger as I can't stand the taste of most of it. Carling tastes like rust for some reason :S Unless the UK got a faulty batch or something, I don't remember it tasting this bad.

Fosters is sweet, and I can't drink too much cider - ever

I like my spirits with a fizzy drink or something along the lines. I prefer my party shots the most Hmm, after shock xD
