I've submitted Focused into Dmoz.

How long does it usually take to get an answer?

Weeks or months if at all usually

Just so you know. DMOZ is indexed by hand so it can take quite a while for it to be indexed if it gets to that point at all. It is very hard to get indexed by these guys.

It is said that they have manual editors that means humans check each and every entry so time taken can be weeks or even months
It is better to pay them to get faster approvals!!

hey sohan you are the administrator man i guess you have to answer such questions?. But whats the use of that submission u made?

I have never has luck submitting sites to DMOZ, even after repeated emails to the editors.

We still haven't been put in. Is it worth trying?

Nope. DMOZ is overrated. Extremely overrated.

Dmoz is also corrupted. Some of the editors are very corrupted. I gave up submitting long back and I am pretty happy about it.

I didn't want to say that, but it's true.
Lots of their editors are taking backhanders to include sites.

I've been trying to get into DMOZ with one of my sites for months. They just don't respond. The category I want to be placed in is full of really bad sites, some aren't even active now. DMOZ is 'the big thing', without inclusion there I feel Im losing a huge amount of potential advertising for my site but, it isn't run properly, to say so much depends on it.

I applied to be a DMOZ editor a few times too and they are damned awkward, seems like DMOZ is a closed door to me.
