DMOZ benifits

I have been unsuccessfully trying to list my websites in DMOZ from last 1 year.

Since some say it adds US$500 to a domain's value if its listed in dmoz.

I am yet to explore all benefits of DMOZ.org listing, Ofcourse its a PR benifit, internal pages are upto PR7, But i am unsure if DMOZ gives any traffic as well?

Any of you got successfully listed in DMOZ? Whats the shortcut..

I've never bothered to add my sites to DMOZ.

Also, I don't think it will add $500 to the value.

Well I myself submitted my websites and yeah i am an editor in dmoz too

So you must have applied an they accepted you within two months. That's great. I appied a long time ago - about seven years ago, but never heard from them. Back then, it seemed they had different protocols for editors. I asked a buddy of mine who was an editor about the protocols and how they have changed but I just have not have to the time to go back again.

I kind of help more on these forums usually

I don't even bother with Dmoz anymore. I really am not wasting time to submit my sites to find out I will never get a reply.
