Your motive

What is your motive to run a blog? Do you want to earn from it or just to convey your thoughts to the society so that you use it as your mouthpiece? I have a blog. I wanted to earn from it. So am taking some steps for that. But I think you cannot do both by having a blog. what do you say?

My main blog is a portal to my forum. Its a place for me to post videos, in depth articles, pictures and the such without losing them in the forum.

I blog because it gives me a platform to talk.
No other reason.
